Children playing at school in Ghana
Our Work

What We Do

We support practical programs that improve education, safety, care, and opportunity for underserved children and vulnerable communities across Ghana and beyond.

Program Areas

Six Programs, One Mission

Every program we run is grounded in real community need. From rebuilding classrooms to supporting veterans, each initiative is designed to create lasting, measurable change.

01
Education & Scholarships

We support children with school supplies, scholarship assistance, tuition support, books, uniforms, and learning materials, giving them the tools they need to stay in school, build confidence, and succeed.

02
Rural School Infrastructure

We help schools improve physical learning environments through classroom repairs, desks, sanitation, handwashing stations, safe play areas, canteens, libraries, computer labs, and clean water access.

03
Children's Homes & Family Support

We support children's homes and vulnerable families through educational assistance, healthcare access, basic supplies, and programs that improve living standards and provide a foundation for stable, dignified lives.

04
Healthcare & Child Welfare

We help connect vulnerable children and families with healthcare support, wellness resources, and community care because good health creates the foundation children need to learn, grow, and succeed.

05
Veterans Support

We support veterans through community care, appreciation, basic assistance, and support programs. In Ghana, many veterans do not have a proper pension or stable income, and iSmile is committed to standing beside those who served with dignity, gratitude, and care.

06
Disability Support

We support people with disabilities through inclusive programming, care support, accessibility-focused projects, and long-term community development, helping ensure that every person is valued, supported, and included.

Our Objectives

What We're Building

iSmile Foundation's objectives go beyond immediate relief. We are building systems, spaces, and opportunities that serve communities for generations.

Reconstruct & Modernize Schools

Build new Ventilated Improved Pit Latrines, handwashing facilities, comfortable desks, safe and educative playgrounds, neatly fenced canteens, food pantries, and provide clean drinking water.

Attract & Retain Teachers

When schools are improved, teachers are better supported and more motivated to teach, while additional recruitment becomes possible. This helps increase enrollment, strengthen learning outcomes, and create better opportunities across rural communities.

Improve Examination Performance

With better infrastructure and learning resources, children can complete their basic education, continue to secondary and tertiary levels, and gain the opportunity to break cycles of poverty.

Build a Disability Day Care Center

A long-term goal to create a safe, accessible facility providing care, companionship, therapy, and structured activities for people with disabilities who need support but not 24/7 supervision.

Our Impact

Why Children Are Our Priority

Poverty is more than a lack of material resources. It also includes deprivation, social exclusion, and vulnerability, all of which can threaten a child’s development. Every child needs loving caregivers, healthcare, nutrition, clean water, education, opportunity, and safety. When any of these are missing, a child’s full potential may remain out of reach.

Locally led change is the most sustainable. When community members come together to create safe, supportive, and nurturing environments, children are better able to learn, grow, and thrive.
Long-Term Vision

Disability Support & Community Care Center

A planned facility to provide care, companionship, therapy, and structured activities for people with disabilities in Ghana.

iSmile Foundation has drawn plans for a disability day care center to provide care and companionship for individuals who cannot manage without help or who are secluded or lonely. This facility would allow participants to leave the comfort of their own home for safe, supervised surroundings — taking advantage of educational and recreational activities designed to improve their mental and physical health.
