Program Overview

iSmile Foundation plans to raise funds to develop and reconstruct schools mostly in rural areas, extending educational services to children who lack access. When these schools are reconstructed and developed, more teachers will have the enthusiasm to teach, and additional teachers will be recruited. This will attract more parents to enroll their children, paving the way for children to complete basic education and continue to secondary and tertiary levels.

Focus Areas

Classroom construction and reconstruction
Ventilated Improved Pit Latrines (VIPs)
Handwashing facilities
Comfortable desks and furniture
Safe and educative playgrounds
Neatly fenced canteens and food pantries
Clean drinking water access
Libraries and computer labs
Teacher recruitment and retention support

Why This Matters

Children in rural Ghana often attend school in unsafe structures with poor ventilation, limited sanitation, and few teaching materials. When we rebuild these schools, we do more than improve buildings. We restore hope, attract qualified teachers, and give communities a stronger reason to invest in their children’s future.
